“ANTWERP. FLOORS.” CAPSULE COLLECTION OF HANDCRAFTED T-SHIRTS WITH A VISUAL DIARY.
“ANTWERP. FLOORS.” is my personal project which I made during my internship at A.F. VANDEVORST in 2017. Every day I was taking pictures of different things I found on the floors of Antwerp on my way to the studio. I was always walking a lot and noticed that in Antwerp you can find many strange things if you look under your feet. First I was taking the pictures because I liked what I have found and things were making me curious. I was asking myself „Who could loose it and why this person was carrying it?“ then when the ammount of them grew every day I decided I should do something with it. First idea was to create а „zine book“. Second I decided to make an exclusive capsule collection of t-shirts with prints I like the most and which were made in a special days.
Мy current interest about that project was that someone is loosing something but then always finding something. Another important aspect for me is that this is a completely selfmade project to show that we can do independent fashion in the concept of art projects and limited editions.
The other meanings I keep for a viewer and wearer themself.
I made my project in terms of 7585 philosophy and created a first artist collection of limited edition fashion garments.
On May 8th, 2019 we launched this first capsule collection of hand crafted t-shirts with the photography of the objects I found in Antwerp.
“Cfou” is a special place for me where I spent best times in Antwerp and met many great people. And what else to say it is one of the greatest bar of Antwerp!
With this project we want to display art in a way of wearable contemporary fashion and bring the exhibition on the streets of the city.
